PRESERVING BHUTAN'S HERITAGE
The Zhung Dratshang is Bhutan’s oldest institutional custodian, protecting over 2000 spiritual structures across the landscape and thousands of sacred objects of the Palden Drukpa Lineage. Through the ZDPACC, we ensure these treasures remain a living legacy for future generations.

Zhung Dratshang Preservation & Antiquities Conservaton Center
The Zhung Dratshang, Bhutan’s oldest spiritual institution, has safeguarded the nation’s sacred artifacts and traditions since the 17th century. As the heart of the Palden Drukpa tradition, it oversees thousands of monasteries, dzongs, and temples, preserving the living heritage that defines Bhutan’s identity and spirit.
From humble beginnings in a small room with a few tools and devoted monks, the Zhung Dratshang Preservation & Antiquities Conservation Center grew from quiet dedication into a center committed to safeguarding Bhutan’s tangible and intangible treasures. Today, ZDPACC empowers monks and nuns to honor the past while guiding heritage into the future, ensuring the nation’s unique culture endures for generations to come.
